DN is a multi disciplinary design agency helping companies around the world develop and design the products, strategies and graphics of tomorrow.
Just after the end of the Hong Kong Electronics Show 2009, Procare brought the Taiwanese and the Canadian marketing staff together with the managers of the Procare factories grouped in Hui Zhou, southern China - and DN from Europe. Through 3 days of meetings and a strategic workshop lead by DN's Judy Huang, Procare's leaders debated and innovated over strategies and targets for the future.
DN used the strategic game "Breakaway" as a focus. Not only did the participants from the three different continents share in creating new ideas, they also understood Procare better and developed a shared consensus.
Starting a new Business Unit is no easy task. To help define targets, test some strategies and to weld the new BU team together, ZyXEL brought in DN. Using the strategic game "Breakaway" DN led a strategic workshop to get to grips within the basic ideas of the new Business Unit, its focus and the kind of products to be developed.
Consensus and internal communication with the BU was also strengthening as production staff, admin and marketing personnel developed ideas together.
Industrial Research and Technology Institute [ITRI] in Hsin Chu Science City is probably the main knowledge centre and driving force in Taiwan's industrial development over the past decades.
The Creativity Lab is the hub of all creative and design thinking within ITRI's vast campus of talent.
Over the past years DN has held a series of strategic lectures, seminars and week-long workshops for Creativity Lab staff, ITRI researchers and consortium companies on Blue Ocean methods of development.
Climate changes are an important global challenge and we all have a joint responsibility in solving them - we are all part of the solution. DN´s FlowerPod is both a fun, playful and none-dictating way of displaying your home’s current energy consumption and a serious tool for reducing your carbon footprint.
The project has become a worldwide success, receiving both Honourable Mentions in the Taiwanese “Smart living” competition, awarded in the Greener Gadgets Award in New York, as well as discussed in several magazines and Blogs around the world. Visit greenergadgets competition website

Jorgensen engineering commissioned DN to help them look into possible future development strategies for their gas-contained filling system. DN carried out user studies on existing systems and developed a large catalogue of ideas on how to optimize future products on both production and material usage.
To compete in a global market, companies today have to develop new knowledge in more creative ways and still within a system which will put actual products onto the market. For Blucher Drainage Systems in Denmark, DN has carried out a strategic development overview with workshops and brainstorming sessions involving staff from management, marketing and sales, R&D and production.
Blucher is now applying the strategic policies learned into a series of new product ranges.
